Version 1.1.2 is available:
· Minor fixes for certain devices like the iPAQ.
· Added a new shortcut into the Games section of your Programs folder.
(If you're not having any trouble running version 1.1 of Free Sudoku, you don't need to download this version.)

· Pause, save, and load games.
· Consolidated menu and visible timer.
· A little more eye-candy and less flickering.
· Hints for each box in the grid.
· Slightly easier difficulty levels.

Installing Free Sudoku
Download and run the CAB file to install.
NOTE: Version 1.0 does not have any installation and is also much smaller (67k) - it's available for people who just want to download and run.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This thing needs a piece of software from Microsoft called the .NET Compact Framework 2.0 in order to run.

Why?
It's simple, really. I love Sudoku and I have a Treo 700w phone. The only way I could play, though, was to go online and play at WebSudoku using Internet Explorer.
There were a couple problems with that, though:
#1: No Signal = No Internet Access = No Sudoku!
#2: Airplane Travel = No Signal (See #1)
#3: The grid didn't fit on my screen, so I ended up scrolling a lot.
#4: Internet Explorer is slow, so WebSudoku was slow, too.
I looked up a few Sudoku games that were available, but I had to pay anywhere from $10 to $20 for them. Screw that. Sudoku should be free. So I wrote this to fix my Sudoku woes.
